Waiting....

It's been 3 weeks today since we had our Department Of Justice fingerprints redone and we still have not received approval. The DOJ has a 24 hour automated number to call to check on the status of things and the only information that they will give us at this time is that our prints are "still in process". Needless to say this is a bit frustrating!! Had our prints been processed the first time, we would be really close by now to receiving our i800a approval from US immigration, which takes about a month. But, our i800a cannot be sent to immigration until our approval from the DOJ is sent to our home study agency so our agency can sign off on our home study.

Please pray that our DOJ approvals will arrive soon and that the time that we have lost waiting for this approval can be made up somewhere else along the way. We really want to bring our precious son as soon as possible! Thanks so much for your prayers for our family! We love and appreciate all of you!

  1. I completely understand! We are waiting on USCIS as well and it is so frustrating! That is the ONLY thing we are waiting on so that we can request a court date in Ethiopia. Grrr...

  2. I just said a prayer right now. I hope you get DOJ approval soon! We just received our immigration approval back from the USCIS. It took about 1 1/2 months for the whole USCIS process. By the way, it includes more fingerprints for FBI clearance. We'll pray these next ones go smoother.
