Home Study Complete and in Our Hands!!

After much praying and waiting, we finally have our notarized copies of our home study in our hands!!!

Thank you everyone for all your prayers!

The boys and I were at science class and Taekwondo all day today, so my wonderful husband was able to stop by our home study agency to pick up our copies and head to FedEx to get our i800a application sent to our main agency. They will double check our application tomorrow, attach any necessary documents that they have and get our i800a sent off to USCIS to arrive on Thursday!

The turnaround time seems to be about one month with immigration.

Please pray that everything goes smoothly, that we don't have any setbacks with immigration, and that our application is processed in record time.

11/7 - Picked up homestudy packet from agency

11/29 - First Homestudy interview

12/6 - Second Homestudy interview

12/8 - Third and Final Homestudy interview

12/10 - Ordered Passports

12/15 - Homestudy ready except for fingerprint approvals - communication issue between our agency and DOJ

12/20 - Received Passports

1/10 - Fingerprint approval issue solved

1/11 - Picked up approved homestudy copies from agency

1/12 - i800a application sent to USCIS (receipt notice received 1/18)

2/11 - Immigration fingerprints

3/15 - i800a (I797C) approved

3/19 - received I797C (immigration) approval in the mail

3/28 - DTC (documents to Ch*na)

4/18 - LID (log in date)

6/7 - LOA (letter of approval) received by our agency

6/8 - LOA arrived in our hands, signed and returned to our agency

6/9 - i800 sent (receipt notice received 6/13)

6/21 - i800 approval

6/23 - received i800 approval in the mail

6/30 - NVC Cable (letter received on 7/5)

7/20 - Article 5

7/26 - TA (travel approval) - arrived at our agency on 7/29 - 9 months to the day (10/29/10) from the moment we said yes to adopting Kaden!!!

8/14 - (8/13 here in the US) - GOTCHA DAY!!!!!

8/24 - CA (consulate appointment)

8/25 - Home with our newest treasure!!
